North Somerset Council is looking to appoint an Assistant Director Placemaking and Growth to help shape our future plans for regeneration and economic growth, ensuring the council's wider aims are fully taken into account in all decisions.
This new role will contribute to the strategic leadership of the Development and Environment directorate and work collaboratively with senior colleagues in North Somerset and across the West of England, creating investable propositions thatgenerate economic growth, additional income and capital receipts for the council.
To be successful you will need commercial skills and real world knowledge and experience in appraising development opportunities, scenario modelling andleveraging investment from public and private sector partners.
You will have strong financial acumen and a proven track record of identifying and evaluating investment opportunities against defined criteria. You will be anaccomplished team player who will be an advocate for change and innovation, put customers first, work well with others and get things done.
