We have vacancies at the Roman Baths for seasonal Visitor Services Assistants to join our Front of House team, to help make happy memories for all our visitors and create a 5* experience. This is an ideal opportunity to join a friendly team working in a busy but enjoyable environment, in a world famous visitor attraction and heritage site.
Duties include welcoming and engaging with our visitors, managing queues, selling tickets and guide books, issuing and collecting audio guides, patrolling the site, security invigilation, giving guided tours and delivering teaching sessions and birthday parties.
The hours of work are 28 - 35 per week, according to season (4 days a week for March and 5 days a week from April-October) on a rolling rota, including 3 weekends out of 4. Shifts are for 6 or 7 hours per day. Contracts are available to start in March until end of September or October 2019.
Applicants must have a very friendly manner and excellent customer care and communication skills, a good general education, with a high standard of personal presentation. Good experience of operating a busy till is essential and the ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage. Experience of working in a major visitor attraction would be very helpful as would an interest in history or archaeology. Full training and a uniform will be provided.
