Covering the whole of the Bath and North East Somerset area including the World Heritage City of Bath, Housing Services administers mandatory Disabled Facilities Grants with the Council’s Occupational Therapy service. The service has an important role to play in helping to adapt existing homes to promote independent living with the B&NES area.We aim for high standards of customer service and are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Housing Standards and Improvement TeamWe are looking for a qualified Environmental Health Officer to action all stages of the processing of Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG) including the assessment of eligibility for mandatory and discretionary grants. The focus is on home visits and assisting the client with the making of a valid DFG application through to the satisfactory completion of work. Applications from environmental health officers with competence in this area of work are invited.
