This is a pivotal role in running some of the UK's leading visitor attractions at the heart of the 'City of Bath' UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You'll be a key member of the Heritage Services business team.
The role is crucial to the success of the daytime visitor experience and evening corporate hospitality enjoyed by 1.4 million guests p.a. at the Council's museums and historic venues, ensuring that they are safe, well maintained and impeccably presented in the highly competitive visitor attractions and corporate hospitality venue sectors.
You will lead the team of operational staff in managing and co-ordinating all facilities, building management, security, function set-up and back-of-house operations in the museums and historic venues.
You will bring experience of budget management, project management, the procurement and monitoring of contracted services and the specifying and implementing of maintenance, cleaning and security regimes, to ensure the highest possible standards of operational efficiency and presentation to daytime and evening users.
You'll be the Monitoring Officer for the Pump Room Security contract.
You'll be responsible for co-ordinating emergency and business continuity planning and risk management for the Service, as well as acting as Health and Safety co-ordinator for the Service.
This is a full-time post. Some weekend and out-of-hours working may be necessary.
