This role offers the chance to lead a project supporting people with visual impairment to reduce digital exclusion in North Somerset. You'll be making a difference every day, enjoying a varied role which can be flexible to suit your needs.
Purpose of role:
To coordinate and deliver Vision North Somerset’s technology support service for people who are visually impaired to reduce the effects of digital exclusion.
This will involve planning work, and adjusting as needed, working effectively independently and as part of a small team.
You will be working with our Volunteer Coordinator on recruiting, training, and managing a small team of volunteers. You will be curating useful resources and services from other organisations, leading ‘drop ins’ or small group sessions, providing one-to-one training including during home visits. You will lead training for staff and volunteers from Vision North Somerset and other organisations. A clear focus on achieving targets is vital, as is effective output and outcome measurement.
Hours and place of work:
28 hours per week Monday to Friday, working pattern to be agreed.
The role is office-based at 3 Neva Road, Weston-Super-Mare with regular travel around the county. Some homeworking will be possible by agreement after successful completion of probation. Travel can be supported by Access to Work.

Salary and benefits:
Salary is £24,700 to £25,750 pro rata for the 28 hours.
