The role of Heritage Marketing Manager is crucial to the success of the museums, archives and services in the care of Heritage Services. The objective is to project a high-profile and positive image of the Council’s heritage assets, including the Roman Baths, Victoria Art Gallery and the Fashion Museum Bath and to increase their popularity around the world.
The Heritage Marketing Manager reports to the Commercial Manager and is an important part of the Heritage Services Business and Management teams.
Key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about marketing and communications and have at least 5 years’ experience in the arts, hospitality, entertainment, leisure or live event industry in a marketing leadership role.
They will be a confident self-starter and creative and inspiring in their approach to marketing and PR campaigns. They will have line management experience and be used to working in a high-pressure high-profile organisation. Demonstratable experience of creating implementing, managing and evaluating marketing plans, strategies and campaigns across multiple sites is desirable. Experience of working in with the travel trade and negotiating with suppliers is desirable.
The candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject (Marketing, Arts, History) and have a Chartered Institute of Marketing or Chartered Institute of Public Relations qualification. Please see the Job Description for full award criteria.
