Hours: 31 per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Service Area: Residential Services
Department: Community Resource Centres
Cleeve Court is a modern Community Resource Centre (CRC) based in Twerton, Bath. It has 2 floors which are registered to support 45 residents and provide care & health services in a safe environment for older vulnerable adults with a variety of disabilities and dementia.
As one of our Catering Assistants you will be an integral and important member of our team. You will prepare and serve meals that our residents will love. No two days will be the same as you get involved with everything from making sandwiches and hot meals, baking cakes and cookies to washing up and other food hygiene tasks. From breakfast to dinner, the food you prepare will please people and you’ll serve meals with a smile, showing kindness to every one of our service users.
This role is about more than just kitchen work, it’s about helping to make sure that the needs of the people we support are catered for. You don’t need to have worked in a care environment before but it’s important that you’re good with people and able to show warmth, kindness and understanding towards the individuals in our care. If you have some catering experience, that’s even better but don’t worry if not as we’ll provide full training and help you work towards a Food Hygiene Certificate.
We offer an excellent range of benefits including generous holiday entitlement, paid enhancements for weekend/Bank Holiday/night working, a contributory pension scheme, a planned induction programme, extensive learning and development opportunities, health and wellbeing programmes, flexible working patterns.
