Heritage Services manage some of the UK’s most impressive buildings in Bath including the Assembly Rooms & Fashion Museum, Victoria Art Gallery and the Pump Room & Roman Baths, that is visited by over 1 million people each year.
The Nights Operations Team performs an essential role in preparing these sites ready to be open to the public, keeping them safe and running smoothly and setting up/striking for functions. This role involves close supervision of a small team, developing efficient cleaning schedules, work patterns and delivering training. The role also includes undertaking day-to-day and planned deep cleaning, security patrolling and porterage duties.
The hours are based on a pro rata 37 hours per week, undertaking a 9.5-hour shift (including one hour break) on a rota basis to be confirmed. The rota includes working weekends.
Applicants must have a track record of confidently supervising a cleaning team to achieve a high standard of cleaning. The ability to carry out work involving manual handling is essential and training in this and other key tasks is provided.
