Join Bathscape to cover maternity leave, supporting delivery of a programme of events and activities aimed at reconnecting people to the countryside around Bath. This is an exciting project, made possible by players of the national lottery and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Working as part of a small team and with our Partners you will help recruit and support our volunteers, encouraging them to take part and to develop new skills, whilst tracking their progress. You will coordinate the work that they do, which will mainly be outdoor practical conservation and people engagement roles. There will be opportunities for developing our social media and communication strategy, in addition to day-to-day administrative work. The post will be a blend of home-working and office-based, though with occasional opportunity to join outdoor volunteer work parties as well as overseeing some outdoor events.
Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, motivating volunteers and working with a diverse group of people and organisations. People skills and admin skills are essential.
Your main place of work will be the award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible via car or public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
