We are seeking an individual to coordinate the delivery of parking schemes in North Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to play a key role developing and overseeing the implementation of residents parking schemes in North Somerset as part of a 10-year strategy. We are looking for an individual with substantial experience in delivery of residents parking schemes.
Candidates will need experience of coordinating the work of others from a mixture of disciplines and communicating with stakeholders. Ideally you will have recent experience in a similar role. Experience of communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders including residents is essential as are strong organisational skills. This post presents an opportunity for someone keen to make their mark in a challenging yet rewarding area of work.
Responsibilities include: • Lead the development of a programme of new parking schemes• Develop a 10-year strategy for parking• Lead the engagement with stakeholders • Present recommendations and evidence at committees as part of the decision- making process• Coordinate the implementation of new residents parking zones
Working in a small but ambitious unitary authority you will be working at all levels within the council including with Executive Members and senior managers. Offices are based in Clevedon & Weston-super-Mare but the scope of the role spans the Local Authority area.
You will be based in Strategic Transport Policy and Development and will be expected to manage others in a matrix management approach and be able to draw in expertise from other teams in the organisation to deliver the project.
